Leonard A.Kaczynski

Leonard A. Kaczynski , 75, of South Bend, Ind., passed away at 3:35 p.m.Saturday, February 22, 2003, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend.
Mr.Kaczynski was born on April 9, 1927, in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident. He retired as vice president from Teachers Credit Union.

On May 8, 1948, in South Bend, he married Patricia Rybicki, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Melissa A.Murphy of Florence, AL, Stephen P.(Mary) Kaczynski of Marco Island, FL, and Scott E.Kaczynski of Knox, IN; his grandchildren, Jessica (Duban) Valencia and Sarah Kaczynski of Marco Island, Fl.;his great-granddaughter, Isabella Valencia; and his two brothers, Ervin (Joan) Kaczynski and Eugene (Marlene) Kaczynski of South Bend, IN.

He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Larry Murphy; his sister, Helen Wasowski; and by his brother, Stanley Kaczynski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m.Wednesday, February 26, 2003, in St. Stanislaus Church.Entombment will follow in St.Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m.today in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N.Bendix Drive, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m.

Mr. Kaczynski was a member of St. Stanislaus Parish and Harvest House. He was also a member of the Elks, the St.Vincent de Paul Society, and had also served in the U.S.Marine Corps.

Memorial contributions may be made to St.Stanislaus Church, St. Vincent de Paul Society, or to Hope Rescue Mission.
