Gaylord L. Johnson

SOUTH BEND - Gaylord L. Johnson, 62, of 19814 Clara St., died at 12:15 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. He was manager for 22 years of the jewelry and camera department at K-Mart. Born April 17, 1928, in Mishawaka, he lived here 23 years, coming from Wisconsin.

On Sept. 12, 1955, in Louisville, Ky., he married Beverley Jean Eaton, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Beckey A. Garrick of Alabama, Jessie L. DePalma and Tracey G. Finney, both of Bremen, and Monica L Stuglik of South Bend; three sons, Robin Lee and Donald R., both of Bremen, and Gaylord L. Jr. of South Bend; 16 grandchildren; and a brother, Eugene Johnson of Plymouth.

A brother, William Johnson, preceded him in death.

Mr. Johnson was an Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict.

Visitors may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St. Cremation will take place. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice
