Rosemary Deren (Miholich) - Class Of 1946 VIEW PROFILE

Rosemary (Daren) Miholich

Feb.24, 1928 – Jan.2, 2012 SOUTH BEND — Former South Bend resident Rosemary Daren Miholich, 83, of Naples, FL, and Mishawaka, IN, died Tuesday, January 2, 2011, in her residence at Waterford at Edison Lakes, Mishawaka. Mrs.Miholich was born February 24, 1928, in South Bend, to the late Victoria and Michael Daren, and was a lifetime area resident.

On November 22, 1952, in Notre Dame, IN, as Rosemary Daren, she married Godfrey “Guff” Miholich, who preceded her in death September 3, 1996. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Helen Boatright and Harriet Lehner;and brothers, John and Thomas Daren.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen M. Wolfram (Thomas) of Granger, IN; her son, James G.Miholich of San Diego, CA; two grandsons, David T.Wolfram of South Bend and Tyler G. Wolfram of Granger; and a sister-in-law, Marcia Daren of South Bend.

Rosemary (Rosie) loved her family.Family was very important to her, which was quite obvious by how she lit up when she was around any members of her family. Her favorite event was always the Christmas Eve party that her daughter had where she could spend time with her nieces, nephews, their children and her brothers and sister and in-laws.

She loved to reminisce about “the good times”. She enjoyed her time in Naples, Florida, going to the pool, no matter what the weather.Everyone at the Esplanade would look out at 4:00 to make sure that Rosie was out there, wearing her green hat, doing her “water aerobics,”which actually just amounted to her floating around the pool talking to anyone there. Rosie was a very friendly woman who really never met a stranger. She loved to play cards and Bingo with her friends at the Waterford retirement community, where she spent her last days. Her nurses at Memorial Hospital and her caregivers all said she was a sweet woman, because no matter how bad she hurt she was always pleasant and thankful for their kindness. She will be truly missed.

The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff at Memorial Hospital, Senior One Care and the Center for Hospice Care for their wonderful care of Rosemary.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m.today, January 5th, in St.Jude Catholic Church, with Rev.John Delaney offici- ating. The family will receive friends today in the church from 6:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
