Ernest A.G. Bonek
SOUTH BEND - Ernest A.G. Bonek, 79, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 4:04 a.m. in Memorial Hospital. Ernest was born on January 18, 1928, in South Bend, to the late Sylvester and Martha (Reiter) Bonek. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Bonek, and by a brother, Eugene Bonek.
On May 5, 1951, he married Joy Broadwell, who survives along with their children, Melody (Richard Weiss) Bonek of Granger, Mary Lea (Greg) Szabo of Mishawaka, David (Anne) Bonek of Elkhart and Mark (Stacey) Bonek of South Bend; eight grandchildren, Jason, Adam, Derek, Kara, Aleah, Ariah, Jacob and Madisen; a great-granddaughter, Alivia; sister, Mary (Robert) Whittington of Rifle, CO; and two brothers, Daniel (Beverly) Bonek and Robert (Janet) Bonek, both of South Bend.
