Imogene Beatrice (Wozniak) Derda

SOUTH BEND Imogene B. Derda, 62, of 23140 Brick Road, died at 12:32 p.m. Sunday, Nov 5, 1989, in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mrs. Derda was born Oct. 28, 1927, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On Aug. 25, 1951, in South Bend, as Imogene Wozniak, she married Stanley Derda, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Julie Smith of South Bend; a son, Steven of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren; and her mother, Stella Wozniak of South Bend.

She was a member of Knights of Columbus Auxiliary 5570, Corpus Christi Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary society of the church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where parish rosaries will be said at 4:30 p.m. 1 and 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph County Cancer Society
