Louis P. Toth, Jr. 89, passed away at 5:20am Saturday, August 29, 2015 in St. Joseph Regional Med Center. Louis was born on December 9, 1925 in Michigan City, IN to Louis and Monica (Pilarski) Toth Sr.

He retired in 1988 from General Electric where is was employed for 32 years. Louis was a World War II Army Air Corp veteran, a member of the VFW 360, American Legion 161, the Air Force Assn, Roaring 20's , 312th Bomber Group and was a usher for Notre Dame Football since 1957. Louis was a kind, loving, strong, proud, loyal husband, and father/grandfather. He was a wonderful son to his parents. He always put others first and always showed his love to his family through his wonderful smile. He had a passion for water-skiing, where he ski-id until the age of 77. He took pride in teaching anyone how to ski the right way. He loved working on his yard for countless hours to perfection. Louis will always be remembered for his strong handshake that brought his grand kids to their knees. He has a fond love for his dog Trixie, who was a loyal companion.

On March 16, 1985 he married the former Victoria Scott who survives along with his two daughters Roberta (Michael) Shirley of Ft. Myers, FL and Janice (James) Laskowski of South Bend, a step-daughter Debbie (Chris) Ozdyck of South Bend, three step-sons Duane (Angela) Scott of Duck River, TN, Rick (Diane) Scott of Port Richey, FL and Dan Scott of Mishawaka, 7 grandchildren Jason Laskowski, Jeffrey Laskowski, Jeremy (Kate) Laskowski, Jacob (Nicole) Laskowski, Joshua (Kota) Laskowski, Jessica (Daniel) Laskowski and Shelly (Michelle) Marker, a great-grandson Levi Laskowski and numerous step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and step great-great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Wednesday, September 2, 2015 in Holy Family Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 2-8 Tuesday in the Zahoran Funeral Home 1826 S. Kemble Avenue where a rosary will be recited at 4:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or Wounded Warriors
