SOUTH BEND — Casimer R.“Casey”Spychalski, 80, of South Bend, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2007, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Casey was born January 2, 1927, in South Bend, to the late Louis and Frances (Wasielewski) Spychalski.

On November 23, 1950, he married Loretta H.Sniadecki in South Bend.She survives along with their two children, Dave L.Spychalski of Omaha, NE, and Diane M.(Joe) Olszewski of Granger, IN;five grandchildren, Brian Olszewski of Evanston, IL, Mark Olszewski of Chicago, IL, Lisa Olszewski of Granger, IN, and John D.and Joe R. Spychalski of Omaha, NE;and his three siblings, Edward W. (Betty) Spychalski of South Bend, Esther V.Spychalski of South Bend and Louise Hornung of Ludington, MI.

Casey retired from (Bendix) Allied Signal in 1986 after 39 years of employment. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and of Z.B. Falcons.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan.20, 2007, at 10 a.m.in Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at a later date in St.Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Reins of Life, Holy Family Building Fund, Logan Industries or to the donor’s choice. For those unable to attend the funeral liturgy, condolences for the family may be sent to www.sjfh.net.
