Geraldine "Jeri" (Solmos) Mattasits

A memorial Mass for Jeri (Solmos) Mattasits, 77, of Tullahoma, Tenn., will be coducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 16, in St. Paul's Catholic Church, with Father Bill Kelly officiating. The family will receive visitors at 10:30 a.m. Mrs. Mattasits died in her home on Thursday, May 12, after a tough battle with cancer.

Mrs. Mattasits was born on December 27, 1927, in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of the late Alex and Mary Nemeth Solmos. She was a graduate of Washington High School in South Bend and retired from Memorial Hospital in 1991, when she moved toTullahoma, Tennessee. Mrs.

Mattasits enjoyed her golden years working in the Sewing Center at Wal-Mart. She was an avid golfer with the South Bend Women's League. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Richard, who died in 1981 , and by her grandson, Scott Mattasits Jr.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Mattasits of Tullahoma, Tenn., and Scott Mattasits of South Bend, IN; one daughter, Jacqe Mattasits Croom of Lewisburg, TN; three grandchildren, Mark, Marsha and Keith; and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the animal shelter or to Hospice of the Highland Rim
