LaVerne E. (Moskwinski) Stevens

March 12, 1927 - Oct. 14, 1999

LaVerne E. Stevens, 72, of State Road 23, North Liberty, Ind., died at 11:50 p.m. on Thursday in her residence. She was born on March 12, 1927, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On Nov. 27, 1947, as LaVerne Moskwinski, she married John G. Stevens, who preceded her in death on July 9, 1991.

She is survived by four daughters, Connie (Greg) Hudak of Cedar Rapids, lowa, Gail (Dennis) Clark of Indianapolis, Ind., Anita (Bruce) Lawhorn of Carmel, Ind., and Joyce (Terry)' Menefee of Grovertown, Ind.; a son, Dan (Barb) Stevens of Mishawaka; 11 grandchildren; and a sister, Rita (Ervin) Jankowski of South Bend.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a rosary will be said at 4 p.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Mrs. Stevens was a member ( of the Holy Family Catholic Church and the Harvest House of St. Adalbert Catholic Church
