SOUTH BEND - Louis A. Kolacz, 65, of South Falcon Street, died at 10:56 a.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital. Mr. Kolacz was the former owner/operator of Kolacz-Brothers Store. He was born Nov. 15, 1926, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On Nov. 26, 1970, in South Bend, he married Eleanor Ward Starczewski. She survives with a stepdaughter, Linda Maciejewski of South Bend; a stepson, Leonard Starczewski of South Bend; five stepgrandchildren; three step-greatgrandchildren; five step-great-greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Ruffner of Argos and Sophie Wrobel of South Bend; and three brothers, William, Al and Ted, all of South Bend.

He was a veteran of World War II, a member of Polish National Alliance Lodge 83, St. Joseph Young Men's Society and Polish Business Men's Association.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or a charity of the donor's choice
