Marry Ann (Fleishaker) Siade

South Bend, IN -- Mary Ann Siade, 95, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Mary Ann was born April 7, 1927 in South Bend to Martin and Vera (Kenna) Fleishaker. On May 28, 1949, Mary Ann married the love of her life, Shkeep "Skeeter" Siade. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, then her husband in 2012.

Left to cherish the memory of Mary Ann are her children, Deborah (Paul) Gjemre, Kevin (Vicki) Siade, Michele (Rick) Ecker, Drew (Lori) Siade; grandchildren, Daina & Kristofer Gjemre, Kayln & Colene Siade, Alyse, Nicholas, & Janelle (Schoeneman) Ecker; step-granddaughter, Megan Vrielynk; great-grandchildren, Azela Siade, Evann Schoeneman, & Morgan Gjemre; and 2 brothers.

Mary Ann worked as an operator at Indiana Bell for many years and was a member of the Pioneer Club. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles and reading. Mary Ann was an animal lover and rescued many stray cats. Her main joy was being surrounded by her family.

The family would like to express their thanks to Heartland Hospice for all the care and comfort they provided for our mom. Also, a deep and heartfelt thank you to Lowell Nelson, a special caregiver who became a treasured friend to our mom and her family.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 Am on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Highland Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made in Mary Ann Siade's name to Heartland Hospice, 230 W. Catalpa Dr., Ste D, Mishawaka, IN 46545, or Humane Society of St. Joseph County, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545
