Leatrice Joy (Bartoszek) Jeziorski

Sept. 9, 1926 - May 17, 1999

Fun-loving and young at heart, mother and grandmother, Leatrice Joy Jeziorski, 72, of South Bend, passed away at 1:10 on Monday, May in Holy Cross® Care Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Jeziorski was born Sept. 9, 1926, in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident.

On June 14, 1947, in St. Hedwig Church, as Leatrice J. Bartoszek, she married Edward J. "Lefty" Jeziorski, who preceded her in death on June 12, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her son, Terry Jeziorski on Nov. 11, 1986. She is survived by four daughters, Pam (Lynn) Trittipo of Fort Wayne, Ind., Rebecca (Richard) Houin of Plymouth, Ind., Connie (John) Shidaker of Morgantown, Ind., and Michelle (Ron) Wagner of Plainfield, Ind.; five grandchildren, Jeff Trittipo, Renay Trittipo, Mandy Trittipo, Amber Houin, and Tyler Wagner; and by her sister, Virginia Berchicci of Hollywood, Fla.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Mrs. Jeziorski worked for the Democratic party for 30 years and was a member of the V.F.W. Golden Hill Post #8748 Ladies Auxiliary. "We will miss you greatly as a friend and a mother."
