Loretta R. (Banicki) Zack

Loretta R. Zack, 61, of Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal, died at 7:45 a.m. Friday in the nursing home. She was a former salesperson for J.C. Penney Co., where she was employed for 15 years. Born Dec. 24, 1926, in South Bend, she lived here her lifetime.

On May 3, 1947, in South Bend, as Loretta Banicki, she married Clement W. Zack. He died July 28, 1980.

Surviving are three sons, Kenneth R. of Louisville, Ky., Dale A. of Los Angeles and Gary L. of St. Louis; six grandchildren; a sister, Justine Sheehan of Raynham, Mass.; a brother, Wiliam C. Banicki Jr. of Los Angeles; and her father, William C. Banicki Sr. of South Bend.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Casimir Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
