Robert Lee Katona

SOUTH BEND - Robert Lee Katona, 91, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017, in his residence in Baldwin, Michigan. Robert was born on January 23, 1926, in South Bend, to Alexander and Emma (Klowetter) Katona. They preceded him in death along with a sister, Marilyn Hegerfeld, two brothers, Alex Katona and LeRoy Katona, a niece, Cynthia Katona, and nephew, Michael Katona

Surviving are a brother, Larry (Phyllis) Katona of Baldwin, MI; 6 nieces, Kelly Mitchell, Barbara Katona, Beverly Wise, Debbie Winnicki, Karen Poole and Cheryl Deinema; 4 nephews, Kevin Katona, Kevin Katona Jr., David Katona and Gary Katona; and cousins.

Funeral services will be celebrated at 4:00 pm Monday, March 13, 2017, in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue. Private burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 2-4 pm Monday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan, 5177 West U.S. 10, Ludington, MI 49431.
