Clara C. (Verheye) Odynski

Clara C. Odynski, 82, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2007, at 6:30 a.m. in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Clara was born on December 8, 1924, in South Bend, to the late Bruno and Erma (Buysse) Verheye. On February 5, 1949, she married Stanley R. Odynski, who preceded her in death along with her two brothers, Albert and Daniel Verheye; a sister, Madeline Hageniers; grandson, Charles L. Odynski; and great-grandson, Charles L. Odynski Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Robert) McCullough and Janet Odynski, both of South Bend; grandchildren, Corey Odynski, Robert McCullough Jr., Margaret Odynski, D'Anna McCullough and Lakisha Odynski; and great-grandchildren, Corey Odynski Jr., Charles Odynski, Goliath Odynski, Precious Odynski, Jonathon McCulllough, Tionna Curtindolph, Jackson McCullough and Amirrah Odynski; her sister, Margaret Madaras of Las Vegas, NV; a niece, Janice Slater, and a great-nephew, Francis Revere.

Clara was president of the residence council at Cardinal Nursing Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 5, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, January 6, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
