Stanley F. Twarowski Sr

SOUTH BEND - South Bend - Stanley F. Twarowski Sr, 91, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 in his home.

Stanley was born May 25, 1926 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Peter and Rose (Wojciechowski) Twarowski. On Febuary 20, 1960 in South Bend, IN Stanley married the love of his life, Martha (Davidson) Twarowski, who preceded him in death on February 5, 2000.

Survivors of Stanley include sons, Stanley Twarowski Jr of South Bend and Stephen (Linda) Twarowski of Houston TX; grandsons, Eric and Stephen and great-grandson; Christopher.

Stanley was employed at Wilson Brothers, Singer, TWA Airlines and Miles Laboratory. After he retired from Miles, Stanley worked at John Miller Insurance and South Bend Toy. He honorably served in the US Army during WWII. Stanley was a founding member of West Side Democratic Club when it moved to Ford Street. He was an usher at Notre Dame games and for special events for 20 years, being rewarded with a “Gold Card” for Notre Dame home games. Stanley was an avid reader especially John Grisham novels.

A private service will be held at a later date. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 1827 East Ireland Road, South Bend, IN 46614 is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 6100 W. 96th Street Ste. 200, Indianapolis, IN, 46278. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
