Lucille D. (Kwitek) Kulwicki
Lucille D. Kulwicki, 77, of Johnson Road, North Liberty, Ind., passed away after a lengthy illness at 5:37 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, in Hospice House of St. Joseph County.
She was born on July 18, 1925, in South Bend, Ind., to John and Frances (Prusak) Kwitek, who preceded her in death.
On Sept. 18, 1948, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in South Bend, she was married to Eugene James Kulwicki, who survives. Lucille is also survived by two sisters, Betty Botka of South Bend and Angeline Miller of Grass Valley, Calif; three sons, James Kulwicki and his wife Mary Kulwicki of North Liberty, Bill Kulwicki and his wife Debbie Kulwicki of Lakeville, Ind., and John Kulwicki of North Liberty; one daughter, Rosemary Roberts of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren, Nora (Mike) Belzewski, John, Paul, Margaret, Patrick, Steven and Kevin Kulwickil and by one great-grandchild, Chloe Kulwicki.
Lucille was a homemaker and a member of Saint Stanislaus Kostka Church. She was a longtime member of the Saint Stanislaus Kostka Rosary Society. Along with her family, Lucille was a vendor of produce and plants for 20 years at the Farmers Market in South Bend.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road. A rosary will be said at 5 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in the funeral home by the Rev. John Klimczyk of Saint Stanislaus Kostka Church. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
