Josephine H. (Kopczynski) Nalepinski

Josephine H. Nalepinski, 91, of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 9:00 a.m., Sunday, August 16, 2015 in The Village at Arborwood, Granger, Indiana. Josephine was born on March 12, 1924 in South Bend to Joseph and Angela (Kwestorowski) Kopczynski, and was a lifelong resident.

She retired from Allied-Signal, where she was employed for 43 years.

On February 1, 1947 in St. Adalbert Church, she married Bernard C. Nalepinski, who preceded her in death on November 29, 1975. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Frances Nowak; two brothers, Walter and Chester Kopczynski; and her longtime friend, Pat Krych.

Josephine is survived by three daughters, Debra Marie (Mike) Ganus of Granger, Indiana, Carol Sue Lundquist of Mishawaka, Indiana, and Cathy Jo (Dana) Cremer of Granger, Indiana; one son Ronald B. (Linda) Nalepinski of Granger, Indiana ;eight grandchildren, Eric, Ryan, Andrew, Jordan, Laura, Amy, Angela, and Allison; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sallie Szymanski of South Bend, Indiana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2015 in Holy Family Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. A visitation will take place from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. Josephine had been a member of Holy Family Parish.

She enjoyed sewing, playing cards, bingo, and going to the casino.
