SOUTH BEND - Elsa R. Kohler, 89, passed away at 6:10am Sunday, April 5, 2015 in Southfield Village. Elsa was born on September 13, 1925 in South Bend to Gustave and Gertrude (Diroll) Kohler and was a devout Catholic. She was employed as a secretary for Bendix and the St. Joseph County Probate Court. Elsa loved to travel and had extensive trips to Europe. She also enjoyed shopping and having dinner with friends.

Elsa was preceded in death by a sister Gertrude Gergacz and a brother Gustave Kohler.

Surviving are 4 nephews Chris Kohler, Guy Kohler, Jeff Kohler and Steve Gergacz, 2 nieces Nancy Dudka and Trudy Gergacz and numerous grand nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Thursday, April 9, 2015 in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call an hour prior to services in the church. Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities, 1817 S.
