John Arthur Creal, Jr.

John Arthur Creal, Jr., 89 years old, residing in Mishawaka, passed away on Friday evening, January 9, 2015 at his home. John was born on November 11, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan to the late John and Mamie (Smada) Creal, Sr. and has lived in the Mishawaka area since 1941, coming from Louisville, Kentucky. John wintered in Tucson, AZ for 20 years.

On January 15, 1965 in Indianapolis, he was united in marriage to Lois (Stanton) Creal, who survives. John worked as a truck driver for 30 years with Commercial Motor Freight before retiring in 1981. He also worked for 5 years with Schult Warehouse in Elkhart.

John is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Lois Creal; daughters, Vickie Crawley of Mishawaka and Sherry (Ed) Vetter of Bradenton, FL; sons, Larry (Debbie) Creal of Elkhart and John (Susan) Creal, III of South Bend; step-daughters, Linda Albert of Granger, Judy (Dale) Sauer of Lakeville, and Patricia Young of Kalamazoo, MI; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild and niece, Renee Creal. John was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Troy Sauer; and two brothers, Patrick Creal and infant brother, Robert Creal.

Funeral services for John will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46614. Entombment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 15th, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend.
