Donald J. Beitler

SOUTH BEND Services for Donald J. Beitler, 63, of 62989 Oak Road, who died at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital, were to be at 10 a.m. today in St.Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery. Mr. Beitler was employed by Magnum Security and worked as a security guard at Wells Aluminum.

He was born Sept. 17, 1925, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On Nov. 22, 1947, in South Bend,  he married Genevieve "Jean" Kosic, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Evins of Annapolis, Md., and Nancy Marie Jacox of South Bend; two grandchildren; two sisters, Gertrude Walorski of South Bend and Irene Baker of Granger; two brothers, Sylvester “Ray” of South Bend and Edward of Granger.

He was a veteran of WWII and a member of the  VFW 1954, North Liberty
