Dolores (Arndt) Paar
1925 - 2008 (aged 83
SOUTH BEND - Dolores Paar, 83, passed away at 9:40 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, in her sons' residence. Dolores was born on May 4, 1925, in South Bend, to John and Frances (Stachowiak) Arndt. She was a homemaker and also had been employed by Lentsch's Bakery. Dolores was a member of the D.F.V. German Club Ladies Auxiliary and loved to play euchre.
On July 3, 1948, she married Robert S. "Babe" Paar. He died on February 27, 2007. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Alfreida Woods and Doris Hullinger, and a brother, John Arndt.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda (Michael Mahar) Paar-Welcome of Silver Springs, MD, and Doris Paar of Santa Rosa, CA; two sons, Robert "Bob" (Linda) Paar and James "Jim" Paar, both of South Bend; four grandchildren, Jim, Jessica, Jacob and Rachel; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rita Seifert of South Bend and Jane (John) Porogi of Barefoot Bay, FL.
