Thecla M. "Tillie" Nowicki
September 3, 1924 ~ January 28, 2025 100 Years Old
Thecla M. "Tillie" Nowicki went to her heavenly home on January 28, 2025, Born to Anthony and Stella Nowicki September 3, 1924, in South Bend Indiana.
Thecla attended South Bend schools and was a proud graduate of Washington High School. Continuing her education at IUSB and College of Commerce. Her secretary career, including working at School City and Studebaker. Going to work at Associates Corporation of North America where she was the executive secretary. Moving to Dallas Texas with the company until her retirement in 1974 and returning to South Bend.
Thecla was a faithful member of the Holy Trinity church in South Bend attending mass five days a week with Mother Tina. The last several years attending Saint Michaels and all Angels on N. Ironwood Dr., South Bend. Her passion for her church family was helping with the weekly bulletin and the monthly newsletter Sunday morning, coffee hour, and special events at the church. Her love for Jesus and her church was never doubted by her family and friends.
She also love dto send greeting cards and gifts to family and friends for every holiday and birthday. Last but not least her love for a good cup of hot vanilla latte.
Thecla is survived by special friends, Cindy and Frank Vest. Cousins Pat Herr-Kokomo Charles Prechoski of South Bend, Poly and Jerry Lower of Warsaw, James and Marsha Kitkowaki of Chapel Hill, North Carolina extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her Mother Stella and Father Anthony, cousins Sandy Konrath of Minnesota, Dr. Annette Allen of Utah, her honorary cousin Gary Herr of Kokomo.
Funeral Services for Thecla will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 2:00 pm at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church 53720 N. Ironwood Rd. South Bend, IN 46635. Friends may visit with family from 1:00 pm until the start of Service. There will be a private family visitation from 12:00pm-1:00pm.
