SOUTH BEND -- Levan R Van Paris, 72, of Westwood Lane, died al 9 30 a.m. Saturday in his home alter an illness. Mr. Van Pans was the former owner of Vans Auto Body Shop. He was bom Oct. 23, 1921. in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On June 1, 1946, in South Bend, he married Lucille Bonkowski. She survives with a daughter, Linda Laskowski of South Bend; two grand sons; and two brothers, Richard D and Jack E. both of South Bend

He was a veteran of World War II and member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Memorial services will be Saturday in the church. Private burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Hickey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Child or Hospice of St. Joseph County.
