Mike Turza

Mike Turza, 91, died on Monday, November 18, 2013 in the Sanctuary at Holy Cross from heart complications. Mike was born September 15, 1922, he was the son of Joseph and Balbina (Szewczyk) Turza; brother, of John Clem, Frank and Chester Turza, and Tina Czarnecki who are deceased. He is survived by Jim and Margaret Turza, Tom Turza, Patricia Cosenza, Barbara Drajus, Ted and Josephine Pecina.

Mike honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1942 to 1946, and was discharged as a Sergeant Turza from Company K, 405th. Infantry 102nd. Division. He was employed with the 1st. Sources Bank in Maintenance Department for many years. Mike graduated from South Bend Washington High School in 1941, and attended Muskingum College, New Concord, Ohio. He was a member of Saint Mary Polish National Church; and a member of the PNA, American Legion Post 357, and enjoyed playing golf.
