SOUTH BEND - Ervin Chrzan, 68, of Florissant, Mo., formerly of South Bend, died at 12:30 p.m. Monday in Christian Hospital Northwest, Florissant Mr. Chrzan was an engineer for McDonnell Aircraft, St Louis, Mo, and a former employee of Bendlx Corp, Mishawaka. He was bom May 9, 1923, in South Bend and moved to Missouri 27 years ago from South Bend.

On Aug 22, 1942, in South Bend, he married Hildegarde Kaczorowski. She survives with four daughters, Kathleen Szalajda of Colorado, Marie Koenig and Christine Kreher, both of St Louis, and Nancy Larrick of Illinois; 10 grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; and three brothers, Chester of Winamac, Casimir of Bremen, and Daniel of South Bend. He was a member of M.R. Falcons Nest 4 and Veterans of Foreign War Post 4105, Florissant.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Dismas Catholic Church, Florissant. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Florissant. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Hutshens Funeral Home, Florissant. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
