Brambert, 70, of South Walnut StreeL died at 6:35 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital after an illness. Mr. Brambert retired in 1983 from South Bend Lathe. He was bom Oct. 20, 1922, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident

He is survived by five nieces, Marlene Rieder of North Liberty, Evaleen Shafer of Edwardsburg, Karen Gingerich of Hillsdale, MI., Capt. Pamela Brambert of Tucson, Ariz., and Susan Shields of Wheaton, IL.; and two nephews, Michael Brambert of South Bend and Ernest Brambert Jr. of Cincinnati.

He was a member of U.S. Steel Workers Local 1722 and American Legion Post 357, and was a veteran of World War II.

Memorial services will be conducted at a later date. Cremation will take place. There will be no visitation. SL Joseph Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
