Joseph Van Parys
Joseph Van Parys, 52, of Leavenworth, Kan., formerly of South Bend, died Saturday morning, Feb 23, 1974, in his residence of a heart attack. He was a personnel officer at the U.S. Penitentiary, Leavenworth. He was born Nov. 29, 1921, in South Bend.
In 1954, he married Patricia Williams, who survives. Also survlvivmg are four sons, Michael, David, William and John, all at home; three daughters, Mrs. Joann Pappas of Bryan, Tex., and Katherine and Brigid, both at home, and three brothers, Jerry, Edmund and Rene, all of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a m. Wednesday in St.
Casimir s Catholic Church, Leavenworth. Rev. Clarence Krajicek, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be m the National Cemetery, Ft. Leavenworth.
He was a World War II and Korean War veteran..
