Lucille Stankiewicz of Tulip Rd.. New Carlisle, Ind., died Thursday. December 16. 1999. after a lengthy illness. She was born May 26. 1920. in North Liberty, Indiana, and resided in South Bend most of her life.

On October 25. 1941. as Lucille Staszewski, she married John Stankiewicz at St. Casimir Catholic Church in South Bend, IN. John preceded her in death on October 6, 1989.

Surviving Lucille is her son. Kenneth (Nancy) Stankiewicz: three grandsons. Brian (Alison) Stankiewicz of Little Rock. Arkansas, Kevin (Heather) Stankiewicz and Jonathon Stankiewicz, both of South Bend; four sisters, Gertrude Golyeski, Eleanor Choinacky, Henrietta (Martin) Steinhofer and Geraldine (Eugene) Rothballer, all of South Bend; three brothers, Clement (Joan) Staszewski of Largo, Fla., Eugene (Bernice) Staszewski of New Carlisle and Irvin (Nancy) Staszewski of South Bend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother.

She was an employee of Louis Seago Remodeling, and the former Douthitts Office Equipment Company, and the former McCaffery Appliance Distributors. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic
