Helen Irene (Maloy) Varro

Helen Irene Varro, 44, of 1919 S. Carlisle St, died at 2:10 p.m. Friday at Memorial Hospital where she was admitted May 6. She had been ill seven months. She was born .Aug, 9, 1921, in Greencastle, Pa., and came here 41 years ago. She was married as Helen Maloy to Steve C Varro on Aug. 24, 1940, in South Bend.

He survives with her, mother, Mrs. Ida Maloy, of South Bend; two daughters, Miss Revena (Cooky) Varro, at home, and Mrs. Sandra Bishop, of South Bend; a grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Ethyl Kish, and Mrs. Revena Desits, both of South Bend.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at Zahoran Funeral Home. She was a former employee of the Indiana Cafe, and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 272.
