MILITARY RITES SCHEDULED FOR E. C. LUCZKOWSKI

The body of Private Edward C. Luczkowski, aged 24, killed in action in Normandy, July 14, 1944, was scheduled to arrive over the Grand Trunk Western railway this afternoon and be taken to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Luczkowski, 825 South Pulaski street. The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Casimir's Catholic church with Rev. Casimir Moskwinski, Egee, Ind., cousin of the soldier, chanting a requiem high mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph Polish cemetery with South Bend chapter No. 6, Disabled American Veterans, paying military honors.

Private Luczkowski was born in South Bend March 29, 1920, and lived here all his life. After leaving St. Casimir's parochial school he was graduated in 1938 from Washington High school.

On Oct. 22, 1943, he joined the army. Surviving besides the parents are a brother, Eugene, and a sister, Mrs. Lorraine Hornyak, both of South Bend.
