Dennis E. Horvath Sr.

Dennis E. Horvath Sr., 54, of 2123 S. Walnut St., died at 11 a.m. Friday in Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He was owner and operator of the former Horvath's Meat Market, He was bom Sept. 9, 1919 in South Bend and was a lifetime resident of the area, On Jan. 15, 1944 in South Bend, he married Elsie Reszipovits, who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary Horvath of South Bend; three sons, Dennis E. Jr., Ronald C and Donald P.; all of South Bend; a daughter, Miss Mary Beth Ann Horvath at home; two grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Mary Mezzei of South Bend.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Sunday by the Sacred Heart and Rosary societies. Another rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday by the St. Anns Society at 10 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Hungary Church with his uncle, Rev. Msgr.Ernest Horvath, pastor of Our Lady of Hungary Churchr Chicago,' officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

He was a member of the St Joseph Valley Food Dealers Assn.
