SOUTH BEND - Michael Cheh, 69, of 54192 Northern Ave., died at 10:40 a.m. Friday in Fountainview Place nursing home, Mishawaka. He retired Jan 3, 1986, from South Bend Lathe Works after 46 years of service. Born Dec. 1, 1920, in South Bend, he was a lifelong area resident. On Nov. 21, 1970, in Mishawaka, he married Violet Irish.
She survives with three stepdaughters, Vivien Ream of New Berlin, Wis., and Gail Keb and Sharon Bunde, both of South Bend; 13 step-grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren; a sister, Halen Gang of Las Vegas, Nev.; and a brother, Eugene of South Bend.
Mr. Cheh was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360, Mishawaka, and East United Methodist Church, Mishawaka. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Zahoran Funeral Home.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
