Steven A. Sabo, 92, of Elkhart, IN passed away the morning of Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Steve was born on May 31, 1933 in South, Ind, IN to the late Steve and Margaret (Vargo) Sabo.
On June 22, 1957, Steve was united in marriage to Kathryn (Miller) Sabo.
Steve is survived by one son, Steven L. (Diane) Sabo; one daughter, Kara S. (Rod) Clarke; 5 grandchildren, David A. (Jennifer) Sabo, Magen M. (Steve) Balser, Elaine K. Clarke, Lillian K. Clarke, and Michael A. Clarke; 2 great-grandchildren, Jaxon Sabo and Caden Sabo; as well as one sister, Julia (Bill) Stout.
He was preceded by his loving wife, Kathryn; his daughter, Kristy; and his special friend, Caroline Moore.
Steve graduated from Tri-State University with a BA degree in mechanical engineering. He served in the Army from 1954-1957 in Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He went on to work at Manufactured Structures Corp., a commercial office manufacturer, and retired in 1995 as the company's president and owner.
Steve was an avid tennis player and played any chance he could. In 1989, Steve became a member of Elkhart's Brandy Boys, and remained a member into his eighties as the group's "unofficial secretary". As he grew older, he loved watching his grandchildren play sports.
Steve was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
