Alice Helen (Sabaj) Stahl

Alice H. Stahl, 60, Oshkosh, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 1994 at St. Luke's Hospital, Milwaukee. She was born Nov. 16, 1933 in South Bend, Ind.; the daughter of John and Helen Machoviak Sabaj. Alice married Earl Stahl May 6, 1961 in South Bend, IN.
Alice was employed at the UW-Oshkosh Bookstore and is a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church; a volunteer for Wisconsin Lakes Council; a volunteer for the Wisconsin Organ Procurement Association; and a fundraiser for many medical charities.
Survivors include her husband, Earl, of Oshkosh; 5 sons: Gordon, of Oshkosh; Leonard, of Pembine; David; Karl (Kris); and Kevin, all of Oshkosh; one daughter: Katherine (Tim) Willett, of Fond du Lac; three grandchildren: Courtney, Vincent, and Shane; two sisters: Clara (Robert) Wolak and Dorothy Finney, both of South Bend, IN; a special aunt and uncle: Harry and Harriet Chodzinski, of South Bend, IN; nephew: Donald Chodzinski, of South Bend, IN; extended family members: Andrea and Angie Sammer and Pam Walter, all of Oshkosh; and many dear friends.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 30 at 10:30 AM in St. Raphael Catholic Church. Rev. Daniel Felton will officiate and burial will be in Ellenwood Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 PM in the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 PM. A memorial in Alice's memory will be established at a later date.
Alice was a special wife and mother who took great pride in her family. She is deeply missed by her family and will always be remembered for her courage and love.
