JoAnn V. (Marino) DeSmith

Nov. 23, 1934-March 12, 1991

MISHAWAKA JoAnn V. DeSmith, 56, of West Seventh Street, died Tuesday afternoon in her home, after an apparent heart attack. Mrs. DeSmith was employed by Fargo Assembly for 16 years.

She was born Nov. 23, 1934, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On Dec. 11, 1955, in South Bend, as JoAnn Marino, she married Ferdinand "Fred" DeSmith. He survives with four sons, Ronald L. of Granger, Frank of Brunswick, Maine, and Ray A. and Paul A., both of Mishawaka; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Yolanda Geminder and Rose DuBois, both of Galien, and Mary Ann Bailey of South Bend; and a brother, Frank Marino of Combes, Texas.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Hahn-DeVos Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
