Rev. Minor H. Pruitt
Nov. 15, 1933 - June 9, 1998
Reverend Minor Herman Pruitt, 64, beloved husband and father who resided on North Adams Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away following an extended illness at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 1998 in his residence.
On November 15, 1933, he was born to the union of Fred and Leola (Brown) Pruitt in Earl, Ark. On July 31, 1953 in South Bend he married Ethel James, who survives. He retired from Superior Waste as a truck driver. Reverend Pruitt attended Interfaith Christian Union where he served as a musician and associate minister.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Ethel Pruitt; one daughter, Diane Pruitt; six sons, Fred (Louise) Pruitt, Carl (Sandra) Pruitt, Jerry (Melinda) Pruitt, David Pruitt, Terry (Jean) Pruitt, and Timothy Pruitt, all of South Bend; 29 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a host of other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Pruitt, in 1942; his mother, Leola Pruitt, in 1962; and one grandson, Carl Pruitt, in 1998.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 1998 at St. Luke Church of God in Christ. Friends may visit on Friday, June 12, 1998 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Alford's Mortuary. Alford's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
