Robert Lee Moore - Class Of 1951 VIEW PROFILE

Robert Lee Moore

Oct 15,  - Mar 14, 2017

MISHAWAKA - Robert Lee Moore, 80, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away Tuesday, March, 14, 2017, with his wife of 54 years, Marlene (Dickens) Moore, by his side.

He was born October 15, 1936, in Terre Haute, IN, to Andrew (Jack) Moore and Imogene (Butland) Moore.

Robert (Bob) is survived by his loving wife, Marlene (Dickens) Moore; four children, Kathy McKenzie of South Carolina, Roberta Holtzinger of Florida, Michael (Matthew Peterson) Moore of California and Pamela (Shawn) Staples of Indiana; six grandchildren, Pierce Davis, Matthew Davis, Kara (McKenzie) Centrella, Austin McKenzie, Hannah Staples and Peyton Staples; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Judy Gibson of Granger, IN.

Bob was an ironworker for Local 292. He always said the best advice his dad ever gave him was to retire early. He loved bass fishing, beer, and having lunch with friends. He was an active member of the St. Joe Valley Bassmasters. If he wasn't in his bass boat, you could find him in the stands cheering on his grandchildren playing sports. As he would send you off for the day he left you with one word of advice, "be careful, you know it's a jungle out there."

Per his wishes, there will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's and Dementia Services of South Bend. Hahn Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. A family graveside service will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
