Marianne Lemanski

Marianne Lemanski, age 65, of S. Dundee St., South Bend, died at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital. She was born June 12, 1933, in South Bend, to Mary (Stezka) and Frank Lemanski, and was a lifelong area resident.

She was employed for 24 years with Associates Corporation of North America in South Bend and, in 1995, she retired from the University of Notre Dame Book Store after 18 years of service.

Miss Lemanski is survived by her nephew, James Lemanski, with whom she resided; a sister, Adeline Henry of Terre Haute, Ind.; a brother, Theodore Lemanski of North Liberty, Ind.; a brother-in-law, Theophil Osowski of South Bend; several nieces and nephews, Judith Rubleske, Ron Osowski and Roberta Zarembka, all of South Bend, Dorothy Wheeler of Maryland, Larry Lemanski of Niles, Mich., Robert Antisdel and Michael Antisdel, both of Michigan City, Ind., and Cheryl Bonner of Terre Haute; and by her aunt, Gertrude Lemanski of South Bend.

Preceding Miss Lemanski in death was a brother, Casimer Lemanski; and three sisters, Barbara Gaczkowski, Sister Mary Siena of the Felician Order, and Elizabeth Osowski.

Marianne was a wonderful sister and aunt, and will be missed by all her family and friends. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Miss Lemanski was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church.
