SOUTH BEND - Jerome W. Lekarczyk, 84, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 in his home. Jerry was born on February 7, 1933 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Walter and Louise (Wcisel) Lekarczyk.

On September 17, 1955 in St. Adalbert Church, he married Lorraine Novinich, who preceded him in death on December 20, 2015. Surviving are two sons, David (Michelle) Lekarczyk of Valparaiso, Indiana and Andrew (Cathy) Lekarczyk of South Bend, Indiana; ve grandchildren, Erica, Crystal, Courtney, Lynlee, and Lacie; and seven great-grandchildren. Jerome was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Lekarczyk.

Jerry enjoyed watching Notre Dame Sports. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Friday, February 9, 2018 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, IN 46628. A Memorial Service will be held at noon in the funeral home.

In lieu of owers, memorial contributions may be made to The Logan Center or Center for Hospice Care in Jerry’s honor
