Mary T. (Piller) Kenna

Mary T. Kenna, 85, of South Bend, passed away at 12:15 a.m.Monday, May 8, 2006, in Fountainview Place Nursing Home. Mary was born on September 20, 1920, in Sopron Megye, Hungary, to Anton and Catharina (Varga) Piller.She was a graduate of Washington High School and a member of Our Lady of Hungary Church.
On October 19, 1940, in South Bend, as Mary Piller, she married Louis C.Kenna. He died on November 10, 1981. Mrs. Kenna was also preceded in death by her brother, Anton “Tony” Piller.
Surviving are two daughters, Kathy Kenna of South Bend and Marlene (Dale) Schultz of Three Rivers, MI;two sons, L. Roger (Judy) Kenna of South Bend and Brian (Nancy) Kenna of San Diego, CA; seven grandchildren, Luanne (Jeff) Hogg, Keith (Tammy) Kenna, Roger (Debbie) Kenna, Kim (Eric) Kenna- Egan, Valerie (Jason) Kenna- Calhoun, Jennifer Schultz and Daniel Schultz;eight great- grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Rebecca, Jacob, John D., Jade, Emma and Olivia;and a sister, Eleanor Van Der Hagen of South Bend.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2006, in the Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church.Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue. Memorial contributions may be made to the Our Lady of Hungary School Building Fund or to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc
