John A. Peli

John A. Peli, 63, of 214 E. Edgar, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec 11, 1983, in Elkhart General Hospital after an extended illness. Born on Aug. 28, 1920, in South Bend, he lived most of his life in this area.

On Aug. 30, 1941, in South Bend, he married Helen L. Eaglebarger, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Robert A. of Torrance, Calif., and Eric J. of Milwaukee, Wis.; five grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Ed Paul, Mrs. Charles Wacumas, Mrs. Mary Denslow, Mrs. Lois Szekendi and Mrs. Harold Hagquist, all of South Bend; and three brothers, Aliz Molnar and James Peli, both of South Bend, and Michael Peli of Mishawaka.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in United Pentecostal Church, South Bend. Rev. Kenneth Mendenhall will officiate. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call in Warner Funeral Home in Osceola from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
