Richard L. Golba, 63, of 1619 W. Sample St., died at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday in his home. He worked at Bendix Aviation for 25 years, retiring in 1964. He was born on Feb. 11, 1921, in Mishawaka, and lived here all his life.
On Aug 10, 1940, in St. Casimir's Church, he married Stella Gilas, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Marlene Darries of Fort Wayne and Jeanette Hall of Kalamazoo; two sons, Ronald of St. Joseph and Norman of South Bend; 10 grandchildren; four sisters, Margaret Horvath of Hesperia, Mich, Sophie Keller of Osceola, Helen Hester of South Bend and Jane Krusinski of South Bend, and a brother, Edmund Golba of Warren, Mich.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Casimir's Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Mr. Golba was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Casimir's, St. Joseph Club, DAV No. 39, the Army and Navy Union and the Mruks Club of South Bend. The parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home
