Loretta M Taberski - Class Of 1950 VIEW PROFILE

Loretta M Taberski

February 19, 1932 ~ January 7, 2024 (age 91)

Loretta was born February 19, 1932 in South Bend, the daughter of Henry J. and Florence (Barczykowski) Taberski.  She grew up working at the family business, Taberski Brothers Meat Market, and graduated from St. Adalbert Grade School and Washington High School.  Loretta was a member of the MR Falcons, Polish Falcons of America, American Sewing Guild, Beta Sigma Phi, The Presbyterian Players, and she was a parishioner of St. Adalbert Church for over 70 years.  She loved reading, sewing, quilting, crafting, traveling, and playing canasta with her friends, of many, many years.

Loretta was employed at the US Rubber Company (Ball Band Plant/Uniroyal Inc.) in Mishawaka, Northwestern Life Insurance Company, and Northwest Fabrics.

Loretta is survived by her nieces, Marcia (Greg) Ringler, Gail Blanchard, and Loretta Baxter; nephews, Philip (Kim) Taberski, Tim (Rebecca) Brennan, Kevin (Karen) Brennan, Dan (Yelena) Brennan, Dion (Catherine) Brennan, John (Christine) Brennan; and many great and great-great nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Lorraine Taberski; sister and brother-in-law, Eleanore and Peter Brennan; brother, Frank Taberski; niece, Lisa Holloway; and nephew, Jack Blanchard.

Visitation for Loretta will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., South Bend, IN with a Funeral Service to begin at 12:00pm.  Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for you to remember your fond memories of Loretta instead of making any monetary donations somewhere.
