Anthony Vernard Coleman
Mr. Anthony Vernard Coleman, Jr. was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 17, 2023; he was 21 years young. He was born on October 28, 2001, in South Bend, Indiana to Tascha Austin and Anthony Coleman, Sr.
Anthony was raised in a Christian home and was a member of Rhema Word International Outreach Ministries; he was a former member of its Youth Usher Board. He was an Alumni of Washington High School receiving his diploma in 2020. Following high school, he worked many odd jobs.
Anthony loved spending time with his family and had a deep passion for music. He wrote rap lyrics, and you could always find him singing and rapping. He also enjoyed playing basketball especially with his family and fishing with his grandfather. He took delight in hearing his mother sing; it always brought a wide grin to his face.
Anthony leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Tascha; his father, Anthony; grandparents, Johnny and JoAnn Carter; maternal grandmother, Elaine Breveard; siblings Jaesha Garrett, Jae’la Garrett, Ja’Onne Garrett, Winter Porter, Jordyn Marsh, Ronzell Austin, Ronnie Jackson, Teijah Stanley, Justice Gustafson, Anthony Freddie Coleman, Ja’Shawn Coleman, Journey Coleman and Neveah Coleman along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and his favorite uncle, Robert Lynn Holland, Sr. cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Marton Moore; great grandmother, Charlie Seal Johnson; great grandfather, Johnny B. Coleman; maternal grandfather, Clyde L. Austin, other grandparents, Calvin and Maylee Maybell.
Anthony was a true child of God whose anointed heart touched the lives of many of the people he came in contact with. He had a beautiful smile and a light that always shined bright. He will be remembered dearly by those who knew and loved him.
