Twila (Green) McKeever

Born Twila Javon Green on July 31, 1975 in South Bend, Indiana; Twila Javon Green-McKeever departed this life on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at her home in Topeka, Indiana. She was 43 years old.

The daughter of the late Mavis Irene Nelson and Orlester Johnson, Twila attended Washington High School in South Bend and was employed with Nishakawa Cooper, LLC of Bremen IN.  

Following a twenty-five-year relationship, she and Terrence G. McKeever Sr. were married on March 2, 2019. Twila was a beautiful soul who loved the Lord and touched the hearts of many. She always found time to help others. Twila enjoyed cooking and having family around for holidays. Her favorite color was purple, and her favorite flower was a rose.

Twila Jovan Green-McKeever is survived by her husband, Terrence G. McKeever Sr. and son Terique GeVaughn McKeever; father, Orlester Johnson, sisters, Elite Johnson, Patrice Ivory, Patricia Perry and JoAnn Laster and a brother, Joseph (Freedom) Green. Also surviving her are uncles Roderick (Ann Marie) Nelson and Wayne Berry of South Bend, Kerry Nelson, Donnie Nelson, and Timothy Toran of St. Louis, MO, Gadis Berry of Indianapolis, IN, Victor Berry and Phillip Dixon of Atlanta, GA; aunts, Diane Winters of St Louis MO, Kimberly Young of Chicago IL, Barbara Gene Sims of Gary IN  and Terrie Johnson of Atlanta, GA and mother-in-law, Alice McKeever along with a host of nieces and nephews; Joe Jr, Kanasia ,Malik ,DJ, Jovanah ,LaDora ,Danielle, Lazerek ,Josiah ,Joniah ,Jonova, Jace, Jersey  and special friend Nikia Strickland.

Twila is preceded in death by her mother Mavis Irene Nelson, grandmother Minaneil Nelson, grandfather Joseph W Nelson and aunt Myrtle Allen.
