George A. Verheye
George A. Verheye, 49, of 520 W. 12th, died Friday, Mar 5, 1982, in SL Joseph Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in South Bend on March 31, 1932, and spent most of his life in this area. He was employed by the Dodge Division of Reliance Electric Co.
On Oct. 6, 1956, in Mishawaka, he married Dorothy DeBruyne. She survives with two daughters, Judie and Janet Verheye, students at Indiana University; a sister, Mrs. Lowell Badman of South Bend, and his mother, Mrs. Pauline Verheye of South Bend.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where a wake service is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Josephs Catholic Church. Rev. Kenneth Sarrazine, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
Verheye was a member of St. Josephs Parish; the BK Club; the Veterans of Foreign Wars; Mishawaka Post 360; the Dodge Management Forum; and the Dodge Quarter Century Club
