SOUTH BEND - I lost my best friend. A friend who stood beside me, when the going got rough. A friend who never wavered, when loving me was tough. A friend who never left me, as I cried a million tears. A friend who listened quietly, as I told her all my fears. A friend that was always smiling, at my victories big and small. A friend who lifted me up, when I was sure I'd fall. My Miss Marie, honey, was beside me standing tough all the way. My tears are falling, my heart is broken, My Marie left me today. God is rejoicing and all the angels too. A soul like hers is precious, and he receives so very few. Rest in peace, My Marie, my dear sweet friend. My heart is truly broken and it will never mend. But you will live forever in my heart and in my mind, I can search the world over but no truer friend I will find. I love you and will miss you, as in heaven you arrive. But your smile, your legacy, and your love, will survive. As the tears roll down my face, God has given you a special place. Marie Fennessee left this earth today.
