Ervin Joseph Rydzinski

SOUTH BEND - Ervin Joseph Rydzinski, 81, passed away Friday, October 18, 2013 in his residence surrounded by his family. Ervin was born December 29, 1931 in South Bend to the late Joseph and Jenny (Kubiak) Rydzinski. Ervin is also preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Rydzinski.

In St. Patrick Catholic Church Ervin married Barbara Ann (Conner) Rydzinski on January 28, 1956; she survives along with their children, Brian A. (Brenda) Rydzinski of Osceola, and Deborah L. (Gary) Rothgeb of Randallstown, MD; granddaughter, Kimberly L. (Corey) Haines of Westminster, MD; and a sister, Dorothy Kazmierczak of South Bend.

Ervin honorably served his country in the United States Army; and he retired from the Postal Service after 32 years of service. Ervin was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church, he loved to play golf, play cards, and most of all was an avid Notre Dame and Bears fan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, October 25, 2013 in Holy Family Catholic Church. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center of Hospice House, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, IN 46637.
