Irene R. (Nagy) Niedosik

Irene R. Niedosik, 68, of South Bend, Ind.. passed away Tuesday evening, Jan. 8, in Hospice House. She was born Jan. 10, 1933, in South Bend, to Emery and Anna Nagy. Mrs. Niedosik was preceded in death by her parents, and by a sister, Ann Deak.

On Nov. 4, 1950, in South Bend, she married John J. Niedosik, who survives. She is also survived by four sons, John J. (Barbara) Niedosik Ill of Phoenix, Ariz., Gary (Rose) Niedosik of Granger, Ind., Dennis Niedosik of Mishawaka, Ind., and Kenneth (Jennifer) Niedosik of South Bend; eight grandchildren, Amy, John J. "Jay" Niedosik IV, Laura, Lisa, Jennifer and Kevin Niedosik, Jay and Auriele Ladd; two great-grandchildren, McKenna and Mia; sister, Mary Niezgodski of South Bend; and by brothers, Joe (Rose) Nagy, Emery Nagy, Vince (Rita) Nagy and Francis "Toby' Nagy, all of South Bend.

Irene belonged to Christ the King .Catholic Church, the Christ Child Society, St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary where she served as president, Marine Corps League Auxiliary, and the Morris Park 9- Hole Golf Group.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, in the Welsheimer North Funeral Home, 17033 Cleveland Road. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call in the funeral home from 2 to 8 p.m. today, where a Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Saint Joseph County or to the American Cancer Society
